Buy White Cockatoo
Buy a White Cockatoo . Friendly to other animals. Hand-reared from birth. Very friendly with children. The White-crested Cockatoo, also known as the White-crested Cockatoo or White-crested Cockatoo, is known in avian circles as one of the most affectionate and sociable companion birds available today. Native to Indonesia, the White-crested Cockatoo is slightly smaller than the Moluccan Cockatoo, but lacks personality and charm. This outgoing cockatoo is notorious for its exaggerated antics and for being affectionate towards its owners.
The White-crested Cockatoo can be distinguished from other White-crested Cockatoos by its all-white crest, which rises like an umbrella when the bird is excited, annoyed, or ready to play (or bite!). Both the beak and legs are dark gray, and the feathers on the underside of the wings and tail are bright yellow.
Care and feeding
The White-crested Cockatoo for sale is a long-term investment for an owner—this species can live up to 70 years with proper care and attention. Many of these delicate birds don’t live that long. They are prone to self-mutilation and the infections that result from this abnormal behavior.
Because this bird is large and dislikes being confined, so it will chew and nibble at its feathers, it needs plenty of space to live, preferably a large, well-built cage with a top that opens to form a play stand. A white-crested cockatoo may not like living in a small space and will become tired and lethargic or upset and aggressive if confined. The
owner of a white-crested cockatoo should have experience with parrots before tackling this feathered handful. This is not a good first bird, nor is it a good pet for children. The white-crested cockatoo is also very easily injured and does not tolerate changes in routine or additions to the household, such as a baby or new puppy.
Personality and behavior
The white-headed cockatoo is a lovable, affectionate pet, but it’s not suitable for everyone. This bird can be as unpredictable as the weather, playing one minute and screaming and nipping the next. Birds are birds, with all their quirks and moods, and white-headed cockatoos are no exception, although the informed white-headed cockatoo owner is fortunate enough to live with this remarkable bird, named for something commonplace—and essential.
The white-headed cockatoo desires nothing more than to snuggle with the object of its desire and can become extremely attached to other birds or items in the pet store, leading to great disappointment when those birds or items are sold—these birds are exceptionally emotional! In the wild, the white-headed cockatoo is never without a companion, and the captive white-headed cockatoo has the same instinctive pattern of bonding with a mate, or at least having a special close friend. The best way to make a white-headed cockatoo unhappy for sale is to keep it in isolation.
Language and sound
Many cockatoos for sale are rehomed because of their excellent voices. One advantage is that bald eagles can be taught to speak, acquiring a vocabulary of over 50 words in the process, although many don’t learn that many. Often, a bird that learns to speak will replace its screams with speech—but not always.
